- The SEAS OAA Committee reserves the right to withhold any entry from the exhibition at its discretion. Artists are expected to comply with all Safety Regulations of the Riddoch Arts and Cultural Centre.
- All prizes are awarded at the sole discretion of the judges, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- All entries must be the original work of the entrant, must have been completed within the last two years and must not have previously won an award in any other competition.
- Entry fees (non-refundable) are for each artwork submitted – Members $20 and Non-members $30; students $10 Secondary/$5 Primary and must be received, with the entry form by 5pm Saturday the 14th of March 2026. If you are unable to provide all details for any of your entries at this time (eg. because they’re still on the drawing board!) please email it to us by the 9th of April.
- Exhibits to be delivered on Monday 4th of May (times TBA)
- Members may enter five exhibits, non-members three, and school students two. Students must be 17 years and younger. Members entering five works get the fifth entry free. Artists may withdraw an entry but please note that entry fees are non-refundable.
- Please nominate each exhibit in one category only.
- Exhibits entered in the exhibition may be for sale. If not for sale, exhibits must be marked ‘NFS’. For insurance purposes, a valuation must be stated on the entry form even if the entry is ‘NFS’.
- A commission of 15% will be charged by the South East Art Society on the sale of each piece.
- Exhibitors give consent for their artwork to be reproduced for promotional and publicity purposes.
- Work will not be accepted unless ready to hang using D-clips and picture wire only; clearly labelled (using attached labels) on the outside of the bubble wrap/packaging and attached to the back or underneath of the work itself to clearly identify each entry.
- It is preferred that, if for sale, artists submit a photo of their pieces by the 17th of April for the production of the catalogue and to assist with gallery set up.
- Paintings and 2D exhibits must not exceed 1.2 x 1.2 metres including the frame. 3D exhibits must be of reasonable size and be able to be handled by up to two people.
- All works are to remain part of the exhibition until it closes on Sunday the 7th of June.
- Exhibits to be collected from the 10th of June from times to be advised.
- The South East Art Society and Riddoch Gallery will take all reasonable care of the works but accept no responsibility for loss or damage. Artists accept responsibility for the transportation of their exhibits.
- All prizes (except Peoples’ Choice Award) will be presented at the exhibition opening, Friday the 8th of May.
- Delivery and collection of exhibits must be on the dates and times specified at which time representatives of the South East Art Society will be present. The Gallery will not accept works delivered or collected outside these times. If you are unable to attend at the specified times, contact SEAS on 0434873166 to make alternative arrangements.
- Exhibits not claimed within a month of the collection date shall be deemed to be the property of the South East Art Society Inc and will be disposed of as the Society sees fit.
