Sunday afternoon, the 7th of September, saw the opening of the 2025 Open Art Awards in the Millicent Gallery. Although entries were down on previous years, the gallery looked excellent with a large variety of works in almost all possible mediums.
Winner of the major prize of $2000 was Raelene Case with her Mixed Media entry titled “Cockatoos”. This work also netted Raelene 1st prize in the Mixed Media category as well as winning the Members’ Award.
